Ziwa’s journey with the DSWT began in January 2014 when he was rescued from Amboseli National Park following his mother’s death.  In June 2014 he was moved to the Ithumba reintegration unit but unfortunately his condition deteriorated and he was brought back to the Nairobi Nursery for treatment and to regain strength.  Ziwa is now thriving at the Umani Stockades; to learn more about his story please watch the video below.
