Courtesy of the Discovery Channel we have been given the exclusive opportunity to host a private screening of the heart-warming film 'The Elephant Who Loved Too Much' at the Curzon Cinema in Mayfair, London to mark Dame Daphne Sheldrick's 80th on Wednesday 4th June, a lifetime dedicated to wildlife.
‘The Elephant Who Loved Too Much’, produced by Blink Films, shows the passion, dedication and love Daphne poured into little orphaned elephant Aisha, along with the heartache in hand-raising fragile baby elephants. It is the vital lessons learned in caring for Aisha that have influenced the success of the Elephant Orphans’ Project ever since.
We are excited to announce that Head Keeper of the Ithumba Elephant Reintegration Unit, Benjamin Kyalo, will be joining us at the film screening, marking his first ever trip to the UK.
Benjamin has worked with the orphaned elephants at Ithumba for the past 10 years, since the inception of our Ithumba Unit and he will be answering your questions in a Q&A following the film screening;sharing hisstories living alongside elephants in the wild expanses of Kenya’s Tsavo National Park.
