Our first ever UK Gala Dinner for the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust will be held this September, in support of our conservation initiatives in Kenya.
Our Harambee Gala Dinner will be held at Plaisterers Hall (One London Wall, London, EC2Y 5JU) on Friday 28th September 2012 and will present an important opportunity for us to consider the plight of the African Elephant (and the Black Rhino) and highlight the actions we must take to
better protect these critically endangered flagship species.
The evening will be hosted by Dame Daphne herself, with long-term Friend of the Trust Rula Lenska acting as compere. With a champagne reception, four-course meal with wine, entertainment and music, as well as exciting silent and live auctions, the evening promises to be a wonderful gathering for DSWT supporters.
It will be a rare opportunity to meet Dame Daphne in the UK, and there will be time to buy copies of her book and to have them signed on the evening.
You can take a virtual tour of Plaisterers Hall, one of the finest livery halls in London, here http://www.plaisterershall.com/fly_through.php
Tickets are on sale now, and can be bought online from the event website www.thedswt.org.uk/gala2012 or direct through the UK office by telephone 0044 1372 844 608 or by sending a cheque to The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, 2nd Floor, 3 Bridge Street, Leatherhead, Surrey, KT22 8BL, UK.
