Throughout 2014, in the face of the ever present threat of poaching, human-wildlife conflict and habitat destruction, the DSWT have witnessed incredible achievements for Kenya’s wildlife, made possible thanks to the moral and financial support of our supporters around the world. As we near the end of the year, we wanted to count down to the New Year by showcasing some of those amazing successes that have been made a reality for so many of Kenya’s wild species.

Our ‘moments you made happen’ campaign looks back over the course of the year and each day throughout December we are revealing a magical moment you made happen.  Whether it’s saving an orphaned baby elephant trapped down a well, the dramatic treatment of an injured bull elephant targeted by poachers or the rescue of a new-born orphaned giraffe, each exceptional moment offers an insight into our lifesaving work in the field.
