Animals who were treated last month, including the injured elephant calf at Mara Triangle Conservancy, have been constantly monitored. All have shown improvement and are on their way to a full recovery.

This has led to lion prides challenging for territories leading to several territorial fights and bite related injuries. Sikio, the old male lion treated two months ago for a head injury, was a victim of fighting and needed treatment for septic and maggot infested bite wounds.
