In March, the DSWT carried out 7 schools trips for schools around Mtito-Andei area to Tsavo West National Park. These trips are aimed at giving school children an opportunity to learn about nature in an outside classroom set up as well as cultivating in them conservation skills.

Other activities taking place during March included the donation of desks to an impoverished school bordering the Chyulu Hills National Park, the harvesting of honey from DSWT bee hive fences bordering Tsavo East and training of farmers, as well as the distribution of hundreds of indigenous tree saplings to communities.
