The Sobo Team operates in the centre of Tsavo East National Park, focusing on the Yatta plateau and its surroundings.
Cases of human-wildlife conflict are common near Voi, where roaming elephant stray into neighbouring community farms and have to be driven back into the safety of the National Park. Bushmeat poaching, livestock encroachment and ivory poaching are among the illegal activities encountered by the team. This report provides an overview of the activity of all our De-Snaring Teams in March 2024, with a more detailed description of the Sobo Team's operational activities in the period.
