Findings

The Team started the month’s patrols on the Trust land. Thankfully no snares were found. We then moved our patrols to Kambi Mawe (Rock Camp) where at Kanyasia we lifted 8 snares targeting large game. We decide to extend our patrols to Sasoon farm where 9 snares targeting small game were lifted. We also patrolled Lady Vivian’s farm, which is near Kilalinda, and lifted 30 snares targeting small game. Here we also came across a dead snared Dikdik that had only recently died from being trapped in the snare. A further eight small snares were lifted upstream of the Mtito river.
