During January 2020, Amboseli Mobile Veterinary Unit (AMVU) attended to 12 cases that required veterinary intervention.
The cases included, 5 elephants, one wounded and four examined after death, a lion collaring, rescue of a zebra foal, treatment of a wounded giraffe and the post-mortem of a Lesser kudu. African White Backed vultures were examined for suspected poisoning in two localities within Amboseli Ecosystem, in one location all were found dead, whilst in the second, one bird was treated and eventually released into the wild.
