Sities, Turkwel and Kainuk's Graduation to Ithumba - 4/25/2013
The sudden arrival of the eagerly awaited long rains throughout Kenya have been the cause of much deliberation for the DSWT teams at both the Nairobi Nursery and the Ithumba Relocation Stockades in northern Tsavo East, as plans had been arranged for the relocation of three of the Nursery's oldest elephant orphans, and three of the budding matriarchs, Sities, Turkwel and Kainuk.

Ajabu's Update - 4/19/2013
Here at the DSWT Nursery in Nairobi National Park, little Ajabu, who was rescued as young as just a day old from Tsavo East National Park, is showing promising signs, settling well into her new orphan family and loving the care and attention of her Keepers.

The Story of Nuk - 4/18/2013
In the midst of massive thunderstorms over the Tsavo region on the weekend of the 6th of April a tiny baby gerenuk was somehow orphaned and found himself following a herd of goats owned by staff of Manyani Prison, which borders Tsavo West National Park.

Maxwell quite by mistake ended up having a great adventure in the early hours of Tuesday 16th April.

Shimba's progress - 4/16/2013
On Saturday 6th April 2013 we had the terrible news that Shimba had been attacked by a lion. Shimba is now a seven-year-old male orphan making his journey back into the wild elephant herds of Tsavo East based at the DSWTs Voi stockades, and has been lovingly nurtured since arriving at the nursery just six weeks old.
