  1. The rescue and death of Lemek - 2/5/2012

    Little Lemek, a 2 month old female elephant calf, was retrieved from the Masai Mara National Reserve on the 28th January 2012 having been found in thick bush all alone. (read more)

  1. The rescue and death of Moju - 1/31/2012

    At a place called “Moju” (the Boran word for “Eland”) in the remote Kora National Reserve near the Somalia border in Northern Kenya, a young 4 – 5 month old orphaned female elephant calf was found by a Section of Kora Platoon Rangers who were patrolling the area, where there has been rampant poaching in of late.
