April was a very busy month for SWT/KWS Anti-Poaching Teams. Rangers patrolled 32,674 kilometres, seized a large consignment of bushmeat weighing 533 kilograms, and made 53 arrests. They also supported a wide range of field operations, including human-wildlife conflict missions and veterinary treatments.

The Aerial Unit responded to a major bushmeat poaching operation, supported veterinary callouts at Kipini, managed persistent human–elephant conflict along several boundaries, and conducted a medical evacuation of an injured KWS ranger. Pilots flew 139 hours and covered 19,314 kilometres during the month.
