An overview of the year by Angela Sheldrick leads you into a detailed, and visually compelling, update on all our project activities throughout 2020.
This was a year of mixed emotions. It was a deeply tragic period in human history, as the impossible came to pass. Here in Kenya, we felt the ripple effects of the pandemic keenly, and it has certainly been one of the most challenging chapters in our organisation’s history. However, as the year progressed we saw the best of humanity - not just within our own staff, whose unfaltering dedication ensured all field operations continued unabated, but the world at large. 2020 and all its challenges showed me how many people genuinely care about wild places — and as long as there is that passion, I feel sure all will turn out right in the end.
On that note, I invite you to immerse yourself in our annual newsletter, so that you can be inspired by all that we have achieved together, in the knowledge that we are continuing to work hard behind the scenes, just as we have been doing for nearly half a century, to protect this cherished part of the world and all the creatures who call it home.
